Read MoreMy wife and I have been on our medication for 5 years and recently made a huge change, and had to get new insurance, which did not work with our pharmacy, CVS. Which by the way was not that great to begin with, considering the turn over, and having to constantly call to make sure our medicine was in stock.
So we preplanned for when the time came, and searched high and low for the best pharmacy for our particular needs. We tried Walmart and got wish washy answers about possible supply shortages and we talked to Walgreens, who flat out said and I quote, “we can’t guarantee we will always have your medicine, no pharmacy can.” What other choices did we have?; Publix, Winn Dixie, Dennings. I tried the mom and pop pharmacy and the pharmacist told me he wouldn’t make enough from our insurance for our medication, so if he was to stock it for us we would have to pay out of pocket. We were absolutely devastated, our medication is one that we can not go without because it would put us in the hospital. It seemed we were not able to find anyone that cared, or that was interested in helping us.
By this time our prescription was almost up for a refill my father happened to have an incident that put him in the hospital. He came across a pamphlet for MedPlus Pharmacy and Medical Supplies of Middleburg, and sent the number to me. I read the rave reviews for this pharmacy and figured I would give it a try. I gave the sweet woman Karlis, the complete run down of everything we were experiencing and why we need the medicine, and that we were trying to just find a pharmacy that would keep our medicine in stock. She absolutely and completely sold me with this one sentence, “we treat our customers like family”, she said, and they do!
They could not have been more sympathetic and helpful assisting us in getting our prescription right and transferred over and filled. The relief that they gave my wife and me, I can’t begin to exclaim how truly fortunate we are to have come across this wonderful pharmacy. The young woman Sierra checked me out the day the medicine was due to be picked up, and the pharmacist even came to speak to me and shake my hand. Now I will recommend all of my family and friends I know to exclusively use this pharmacy. With an option like this in Middleburg, if you are reading this, do not waste another second dealing with the big box stores or the other mom and pop store trying to rip you off.
Now I am able to return to my daily life and I thank God we are able to be the best husband/wife, mom/dad, son/daughter, brother/sister that my wife and I can be.
