He was also complaining of tightness in his chest, but EKG, blood pressure, and heart rate were all normal. Determined to get to the bottom of what was going on, they ran a troponin test on site and lined up some other tests. The troponin came back positive, indicating a heart attack!! They then skipped all other tests and called an ambulance to take him to Mission Hospital ER. He had a nearly complete blockage of the right coronary artery!! The doctors were able to clear it and he is going to be fine. Most other Urgent Care centers lack the ability to run a troponin test and likely would have just sent him home with a suggestion to follow up with his regular doctor on Monday. Without MedHero's resources and knowledge, he might not have made it until Monday. We have had great care from them for broken bones, infections, COVID, and Shingles and now life-saving care for a heart attack with really unusual symptoms. Efficient and super kind and caring. They are the best!!
