Read MoreI recently had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Abel and his team. For a little bit of background- I have an extreme fear of needles. Repeated bad interactions with them have led me to avoid them at all costs, even if it's at the sake of my health. When Dr. Abel explained that if I allowed my blood to be taken via IV to create better blood clots, I immediately rejected the idea for this sole reason, and I dreaded knowing that I would inevitably need to receive novocaine shots during the extraction.
However, Dr. Abel and his team were extremely empathetic and considerate towards my aversion and took every action possible to lessen my worries that worked to tremendous effect. Every possible effort was taken to ensure my extreme comfort during the procedure - from providing blankets, to letting me listen to my music during the procedure, to giving me numbing gel prior to the novocaine shots, to repeatedly explaining things in a very thought-out and laymen manner, to adjusting the laughing gas mask to my comfort - I literally almost fell asleep during the procedure. I didn't feel the slightest bit of pain during the entire process of extracting 4 teeth, and, most importantly, I barely even felt any of the shots of novocaine I was given.
Not only did Dr. Abel remove my teeth in a professional manner, but he also removed a fear of mine I had held since birth. No longer do I have a fear of needles due to his incredible competence just as I no longer have to worry about my wisdom teeth. I am truly astonished at Dr. Abel's abelity (pun intended) to complete both tasks in one fell swoop.
I'd finally like to thank Dr. Abel's awesome assistant Sam for being so kind and friendly and even letting me take selfies when Dr. Abel wasn't in process of taking my teeth out. I'd also like to thank Dr. Abel's amazing front desk secretary Nicole for being so helpful in providing me information on the details of my appointment and how to prepare for it. His team is truly as incredible as the man himself.
