Unrelated to Katie entirely, I feel the cancellation policy at Luxe is excessive. I have been a loyal customer to Luxe for at least 10 years. I have gotten my hair cut & colored several times a year, paid for hair/make up for an entire bridal party, had massages & many spa appointments at luxe Lancaster. They have made thousands of dollars from my business. Unfortunately, I did not receive the usual reminders by text/email (possibly related to getting a new phone?) and my husband committed us to something at the same time as my appointment today. I called and left a message that I couldn’t make my appointment today. Apparently, the policy is now that you pay 100% of the fee with short notice cancellation. For me, that’s $260. While I agree that it is reasonable to have to pay a fee, I do find it to be extremely steep, considering my decade of loyal patronage. A more reasonable policy would be to have some leniency, especially when one does not make a habit of canceling/no shows & has been a longtime customer. It has been a very effective way to lose my business entirely.
