I came to her for acupuncture ten days after having my baby with pretty severe Bell’s palsy and I was desperate for any improvement to my face. The doctors in the emergency room were hopeful that it would clear up in a few months, but said it might not ever go back to normal. I came to Dr. Kim immediately after I was diagnosed and we got to work on treating the Bell’s palsy.
First, her office is immaculate—welcoming, clean, professional. She takes infection control/covid very seriously so she wore a mask the entire time she was treating me. I had never gotten acupuncture before and was pretty nervous when we began. She modified the treatment to my situation and my symptoms (I was a weenie when it came to the regular needles, so she used smaller ones on me). She always treated me with kindness and professionalism. Even though I’m not a big fan of needles, I looked forward to my treatments with Dr. Kim.
It took some time to see improvements, but Dr. Kim did a great job at setting realistic expectations right off the bat. She said it might not happen right away, but I should see some improvement in the coming months. Within about a month, I was seeing significant improvement. In about ten weeks, I was 100% healed. It was absolutely remarkable. I was actually sad when I had my last treatment with her a few weeks back.
She is such a remarkable practitioner and I would strongly recommend everyone to come see her for whatever ails you. Having Bell’s palsy as a new mother was incredibly difficult, but Dr. Kim made the process really wonderful and healing. Thank you so much for your care and expertise, Dr. Kim! I am forever grateful!
