I had been to an urgent care the day before where they found I had a fractured ankle. She said it was very difficult to see on the x-ray but I needed to have it looked at ASAP. She suggested that they will probably give me a walking cast. When I went to Dr. Killian‘s office, they had to take their own x-rays and I told the X-ray tech to be sure that they could see the fracture in them because it was hard for the Doctor to see it yesterday. When the doctor came in, he reported that he couldn’t see anything. He said that this little spot here looks like it might be something. I said that kind of looks like the spot where she saw it too, and then he said to me, “ Well if it is, you know you’re gonna have to have a cast put on”. He made me feel as though there was no fracture and I was just looking to get a cast on. They did put a cast on and when it was time for me to go back to get another x-ray three weeks later I decided to go to my own doctor in Phoenix. My doctor confirmed that it was indeed fractured, but she didn’t think it needed a cast. She said she would have probably just put a walking cast on. I just had a feeling that I was being rushed in and out of Killian‘s office and they didn’t ever confirm or recheck to be sure my ankle was fractured. They just put the cast on and rushed me out the door (literally).
