Read MoreI have had the displeasure of coming into the hospital under Dr. Abuba’s care twice now. The first time I had to fire him and request a new hospitalist. This second time he was only on call for the overnight shift. He made up diagnoses that I do not have, acted like he had no idea why I was in the hospital despite just having had a conversation with the ER attending about my case. Proceeded to imply I was lying about what was going on, despite the glaring abscess I have on my abdomen that was diagnosed via ultrasound and lanced by the surgeon. After getting to the floor he then refused to order any of my home medications, some of which are very important and if I miss a dose it could go very badly. I do not know why this man is even a doctor if he isn’t going to listen to the patient and write down what the patient actually says instead of just making things up as he goes along. Altru’s doctors have been getting worse and worse, maybe instead of building a new hospital, they overhaul their staff.
