I wanted to love this place and I do like it but after this last visit I probably won’t return.
My partner and I came in for chair massages from the owner. They were good and helped us both feel better. She suggested table massages moving forward.
I booked a second massage in April, with David (I believe he is no longer there). I like that David is also a PT. He was quiet during the session other than asking about pressure, which is what I prefer. He did give me some really good info after the massage about stretching. I left feeling good and informed.
This third massage was Friday 08.10.24, it was very much needed because I woke up in extreme pain. Luckily I had booked the night before because I received an email about filling gaps in their schedules for a discounted rate. There was only one therapist available, Madison. I explained my normal issues and then told her I have a more pressing issue and explained it was my left shoulder, neck and elbow. She listened but then when she explained her plan for the massage she referred to my right side. I corrected her and she laughed
it off that she got confused cause we were standing across from each other. Ok no problem, until about 50 mins of me being on the table face down, she had me flip over to my back and then asked which side was the problem side. Like, what? Then as soon as I flipped to face up, she started trying to have full on conversation with me. I get that some clients like to talk but I thought it was common practice to do a temperature check in the beginning. Meaning, find out if the clients likes to talk or not during the service. Don’t get me wrong she was nice but the service was also lacking, I told her harder pressure when she asked and it didn’t seem like it changed. I also noticed when I got home that the marks from the cupping weren’t even on the problem area, they were further down on my back.
Then when I was paying I asked about the essential oils cause I wanted to try some in my diffuser. The receptionist disclosed the price per drop to be .12 cents. However she didn’t tell me they charge $1.50 for a tiny bottle less than half an inch. I run a small business so I understand costs and charging for things. However, don’t blind side people even if it is just a $1.50. That makes me not trust the business.
Basically I left not feeling any better than when I came in. Actually worse because I felt like I was tricked. I paid $75 for a massage that didn’t help me plus a $15 tip and $2.70 for 10 drops of oil and a Barbie size bottle. Wanting to give them another chance and due to extreme pain I booked a chair massage with the owner, but the only availability was Tuesday at 5:30pm. I ended up canceling it because I couldn’t wait that long and after a lot of thought I didn’t want to give them any more of my business.
Unfortunately, I had to go somewhere else for a massage which was another $85 plus tip. I did leave feeling much better, not completely fixed obviously but definite relief. This whole thing has been extremely frustrating. I’m not telling anyone to not go here or what to think.. just sharing my experience.
