We were honestly just hoping to get in quickly to establish care and get a couple of prescriptions filled after a recent insurance change and what we ended up finding with Dr. Pope and his team was an absolute gem of a healthcare experience.
The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming, even though we walked in just five minutes early instead of the 15 they'd requested (after battling the hour-long drive, road construction and traffic 😕). Their calm, understanding attitude put us at ease right away. Anita, the medical assistant, was kind, patient, and incredibly caring. She even allowed my husband and I to be seen together so we could streamline things, which we really appreciated.
Dr. Pope exceeded every expectation. He was relaxed, attentive, truly personable and within minutes, we were all laughing, swapping stories, and chatting about everything from health history to kids/grandkids. He took his time and made sure we both felt heard and supported. We never expected to enjoy a doctor’s appointment this much!
Truthfully, we were originally a bit hesitant about driving all the way to Edmond for our PCP, but we were in a bind and couldn’t wait 6 months to a year to get into someone closer. Turns out it was totally meant to be, especially when we found out during the visit that Dr. Pope’s office is actually relocating just a few miles from my husband’s work! Talk about perfect timing.
Everyone we encountered was kind, professional, and down-to-earth, plus they’re a younger team, which made us feel like we’re in great hands with providers who are current on the latest in medicine and genuinely invested in helping us feel comfortable and well cared for.
We’re really looking forward to this new chapter in our healthcare journey and we’re so grateful to have serendipitously found such a great fit!
