I came into the ER last Saturday. There were several other people there ahead of me. I was quickly taken into a screening room and then to a patient room. I cannot remember the people's names there but they were great. The hospitologist was a man from Florda ,I do remember that much. He was very knowledgeable and understanding. There was a big male nurse that played football for Madison 10 years ago that was very good. I don't have much confidence in medical field at all. He was down to earth and knee his stuff. Knowing what you talking about this a king ways with me. CT scans suggested I needed procedure to stop internal bleeding. On the step-down from ICU unit I encountered a couple of the best nurses you could ever ask for. Cole was the charge nurse. He was very good at his job and very professional. The RN that would be my nurse for the night was truly amazing. Nicole was one of the kindest,most compassionate nurses I have ever had in my life. It was 1 of the longest nights of my life. I was in such a compromised position I needed help with everything. Blood that's coagulated inside your body is 1 of the worse smells I have ever smelled. Nicole helped me with everything and I mean everything. She went above and beyond and was so humble,kind, and caring. She made a horrible night more beatable for me. In her mind she was just doing her job and that's what is so impressive about her. Dr. Williams came in the am and told me he moved me up in priority list and he would take care of me. Dr Williams out me at ease. There was no doubt he knew his stuff. 10 minutes later I was on the way to OR. I met a anesthesiologist that knew relatives of mine and he asked me I was in good hands. These folks will probably not even remember who I am because to them they were just doing their job. If they do its because I am so tall I needed a bed extender. The OR was very impressive and so were the people staffing it. Dr. Williams stopped the bleeding, there was a lot of itI guess. I needed to be watched over so I was moved to another floor. Madison was a good as it gets for a nurse. She made sure I was taken care of while I was there. On the main floor Yelonia and all those folks were great. I think there was a Mikela as well. I would like to recognize the night and day crew of med surgery last Sunday and Monday. They were all so kind and caring. That's not always the case in hospitals. To my surprise the food there is ordered off a menu. The kitchen staff, ordering,cooks,delivery were all 1s class in every way. I cannot remember all the names of those who helped me. I worked with customers all my life. I can only hope that I made an impression on at least 1 person like they all did for me. The teamwork,positive attitudes,patient care,willingness to help each other out is top notch. Very impressive for a guy that has coached,and been a leader of others most all my life.

Went into the ER for side pains. Ended up needing my appendix removed. The staff was exceptionally kind and attentive. From the ER staff to the surgery area . Highly recommend. They all went above and beyond.
