I've been doing pilates at House of Skye three times a week for almost three months. When I found her studio, I was just looking for a way to add some strength training into my health routine. Working with Adelaide has become so much more than that for me.
Because this is a small studio, I am almost always the only person in the class. I am able to tell her how my body is feeling, where I have pain or stiffness or weakness, and she knows exactly what I need to work on. She has been working with bodies for decades, and her mind is like a library of movement. It's really amazing.
She has developed a routine specifically for what my body needs. I feel so much stronger, physically and psychologically. My flexibility has improved. My posture is better. I even walk differently. I feel a lot more aware of my body in general, and I've improved how I move throughout the day.
Her studio would be perfect for someone who needs one-on-one attention, for those who have specific areas of their body that need care, or who really want to take their time to make sure they are doing the movement correctly.
She clearly really cares about helping her clients. She's thinking of ways to help us even when we aren't in class together, and that speaks to her generosity.
She also draws from her knowledge of other disciplines (massage, hypnosis, etc), so the sessions feel much more like she's treating you as a whole person, not just another body in an exercise class.
I am very grateful to have found her studio!
