I had to reschedule my hand appointment a few times due to unavoidable life circumstances. Unfortunately, when I received a call from the receptionist, the tone was unexpectedly rude and condescending. I was told that if I couldn’t keep my upcoming appointment, Dr. Ran would need to terminate me as a patient (I've never been seen by him). While I understand that missed appointments can be frustrating, I was surprised by the lack of empathy and flexibility. I expressed that I would be fine with that decision, as I wouldn’t feel comfortable receiving care from a provider who doesn’t seem to prioritize compassion. Based on this interaction, I have concerns about the overall approach to patient care and decided this isn’t a practice I feel confident trusting with my health.
