In searching for a primary physician for my mother, it was recommended that we make an appointment at Genesis as Joe Reid, and others in the office, was taking new patients. We were initially told that medical release forms and other paperwork would need to be completed before obtaining an appointment. The paperwork was completed and turned in at the front office at which time we were told we would receive a call to let us know if my mother would be accepted as a patient.
After 2 weeks of hearing nothing back, we called to check the status of being accepted. We were hatefully told that we would receive a call when the paperwork was reviewed. Another week passed and we called again. A message was played that staff was in a meeting, to leave a message, and they would call back. Of course they did not.
Today, we made a final call to inquire about appointment status (in order to decide to move on to somewhere else). After a VERY long hold time, my mother was told she had been rejected as Genesis was not taking new patients (which we know is untrue). We again mentioned the person who referred my mom to Genesis because they ARE taking new patients and the lady on the phone barked back "They don't work here, I do".
Four weeks my mother (who has medical needs) has been without a primary because of poor management at Genesis. They didn't even have the courtesy to let us know she had been rejected. And whoever is in charge of the phone there should be fired. She is very rude and hateful and leaving one star with this review is one star too many.
