I saw Dr. King about 10 years ago at another practice and thought he was the most thorough back/neck pain doctor I had ever seen. I always wanted to go back but he wasn't on my insurance. I got new insurance and he was on my plan so I started seeing him 6 months ago. There is a long wait to get in but he is more than worth the wait!
Most doctors just prescribe pills and steroid shots. You owe it to yourself to find out the SOURCE of your pain to try to help your body recover. I have been to chiropracters, acupuncturists and physical therapists and yes, they have helped. But, I wanted an MD to look at the MRIs and really give me some help because every now and then, out of nowhere, I face extreme nerve pain primarily in my spine and was having pain in my fingers radiating from my neck. Dr. King first runs all of the tests just like any other doctor. But, then he offers you many approaches which are scientifically proven and effective. I tried prolotherapy in my neck and it greatly helped with my migraines and neck creakiness. My finger pain went away. We are now working on helping my low back. I have referred several people to him. You must be patient. Your pain has been there for a long time. What helps most? Diet changes (gluten, sugar and food allergies can greatly flare up your pain!!!), exercise, stretching, etc will all help but you have to be wiling to work at your pain and not be looking for a magic pill. Simply getting up in the morning and doing some stretches and icing can usually help most people take the edge off. Pain management is a mutual process where you work with a fantastic doctor like Dr. King to find solutions but diet changes are essential.
