My mom has been seeing this group for a year and a half and was in constant pain in her hips and low back. She was misdiagnosed and referred to the spine team to see Swain, who told her she had a bulging disc, had injections, and was told she needed a spine fusion. When my mom refused, Swain said “when people want it their own way I just take a step away”. After escalating the issue and receiving an internal call from the group, my mom was transferred to Bosch who sent her for an MRI and confirmed the issue was her hip and she needed a total joint replacement. Fast forward Bosch quit 2 weeks before the scheduled surgery pushing my mom out further.
Dr. Swain’s ego, shit attitude, and unwillingness to listen to his patient caused my mom distress and unnecessary pain.
How often are people lost to this group’s careless providers because they don’t know how to advocate for themselves, or when a physician can’t handle being “questioned”, or they refuse to care coordinate with their partners when a patient isn’t improving.
I question the motives of a physician that allows continuous billing to Medicare when their patient clearly isn’t improving after 12 months. Medicare questions this too.
FBJ’s handling of Bosch’s departure should also be reported to CMS and the AZ medical board.
Dr Ludwig, who took the case from Bosch was kind, efficient, and is the only reason this review has any stars at all. Thank you Dr L.
