My experience with Dr. Ennis and his staff was ok at first, but it declined over time.
There was always a back and forth over my blood pressure, which was always elevated in the office. This is a KNOWN issue that patients will likely have elevated BP during doctor appointments and even leading up to the appointment.
Here's a huge issue...The top 5 medical schools in the U.S all say the same thing in regards to checking BP.
Patient should be sitting straight up with their back against the chair. Feet flat on the floor. Arm at heart level. The patient should relax for a few minutes before checking BP. The BP cuff should be placed on the upper arm above the elbow directly against the skin (not over a sleeve).
Then after the initial check, the patient should continue to relax for another 3-5 minutes. Then check BP again. The numbers will almost always be lower.
The medical assistant in Ennis' office had me sit on the end of the exam table with my feet dangling down. She placed the BP cuff directly over my long sleep t-shirt. And my arm hanging down at my side. This is typical with MA's.
Dr. Ennis prescribed me BP meds based on faulty, inaccurate BP readings. I recently found out I may have a genetic heart condition that can be deadly and brought on much quicker from BP meds.
One time I brought in a photo of my normal BP ( I check at home every day) to show Dr. Ennis. He asked if it was a photo of my wife's BP.
That was my last visit and I will never use Dr. Ennis again.
My son will also never return. After Chelsea left, they replaced her with someone much less qualified.
