Recently, I had an interview with Dream Youth Clinic, and I feel it was a bit unfair. I completed two rounds and was rejected. Amanda conducted my first interview and scheduled the second one, where the CEO was supposed to interview me. However, the CEO didn’t show up due to a busy schedule, so Amanda conducted the second interview, which lasted an hour. I confidently answered all the questions in detail. Amanda mentioned she would let me know the following week and might schedule another interview with the CEO since she was unavailable.
The next day, I received a rejection. Curious, I called Amanda, who said they were still conducting interviews and weren't aware of my rejection. When I informed her, she was surprised but later explained that she had passed her interview notes to the CEO, and the CEO may have made the decision based on them. I’m wondering how the CEO could make a decision without discussing it with the person who interviewed me. I feel this was unfair and a waste of the week I spent preparing for the interview. I requested an interview with the CEO, but Amanda said she was busy with a conference. I am only posting this as feedback and I hope hiring team takes this positively to improve their hiring process.
