I saw Virginia Sabet for a primary care visit and discussed some concerns regarding mental health. We had discussed some medication options, but I was hesitant at the time. She said just to call back if I changed my mind and there would be no problem prescribing something. After a few back and forths with office (with multiple misunderstandings on why I was calling back) I was told she had no recollection of this discussion. I agreed to a televisit. She was rude, dismissive and tried to catch me in confusing medications. She didn't ask if there was any reason I changed my mind or how I was doing. She continued to prescribe me an anti-depressant with no check in on my mental health. I did not take the medication, because I refuse to take a medication from a provider who is clueless and nasty. You must trust and have faith in the provider prescribing your medications. I discussed my concern for un-intentional weight loss at this televisit to which she scoffed and said, but did you actually lose any weight? At the time I hadn't lost too much, because I desperately tried to keep weight on. Fast forward a few months, I have lost 30 lbs unintentionally, and I desperately try to keep weight on. Fast track to this week. I am in the ICU diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. I came into the ER in DKA. My concern for unintentional weight loss was obviously not a scoffing matter. Not recommended.
