An atrocity of pain management.
Sought out the office for WC spine injury, post fusion. NP Patricia McCarthy was worthless. No plan of action even at my urging. No offer of any procedure, (injections, ablations, TENS). McCarthy does not understand chronic pain, (I don't think she wants to understand) and therefore is inequipped to treat it. McCarthy's notes that were reported to WC were so far from the facts that she must have confused patients. McCarthy obviously would not read my chart before seeing me because she was oblivious on up-to-date facts / treatments.
The office absolutely will NOT prescribe any opiate pain medication, regardless of pain level. Unfortunately, McCarthy lumps her patients all into one category 'Pill Seekers' and does nothing to learn from the patient.
I was introduced to Dr. Reddy at first appointment, and never saw him again in two years. I could not make an appointment to see the doctor, only Nurse Practitioner McCarthy.
Just another doctors office making money off the workers compensation system without providing ANY treatment for the patient.
I found another WC doctor, whom after asking the appropriate questions, determined I was easily a candidate for pain meds, occasional sleep meds, and referred me for injections on the first visit. My new doctor was concerned over my lack of care from Dr. Reddy's office.
