The doctor at the eyeglass store was great! Since the store had a limited selection of eyewear, I asked if they could measure my pupillary distance so I could try buying glasses online. The doctor said they had the tool to do that in the lobby and asked a staff member to measure it for me. However, the staff member seemed annoyed and made a snide comment, which put me on the defensive. They then said the measurement would cost $25. I agreed to the charge but was surprised when they used a six-inch ruler to take the measurement. I had expected a more advanced method similar to what other companies use. I left the store feeling unsure about the accuracy of the measurement, and even though I paid $25 for it, I was more inclined to buy ten pairs of glasses with incremental measurements that thrust theirs. It's disappointing that a company with such good customer service would have employees with such negative attitudes. It's possible that it was just one employee having a bad day, but I'm not sure if I'd ever want to go back there again.
