Read MoreI would honestly give you 0/5 stars. I was recommended to Dr. Megas by my dentist as I needed a frenectomy done. I was told that I would not need a cleaning to get this procedure done, so I made an appointment for my frenectomy. I drive 45 minutes to go to Dr. Megas's office and upon entering the office I see several hygienists, assistants, and a receptionist walking around the office and exam rooms area without masks on, despite the current pandemic and state mandate to be wearing masks inside places of work. When I was brought to the room for my procedure, Dr. Megas came in without wearing a mask and did not put one on until he was about to sit down and take measurements for my procedure. When he was "taking measurements" he poked around my mouth for a few minutes until I was bleeding in several places, said he would not consider doing the frenectomy until I got a cleaning done by him first and that I needed a tongue brush. He then got up a left, while my gums were still profusely bleeding and I was never offered anything to get the blood out of my mouth. He then charged my insurance nearly 200$ for the so-called "examination" that lasted all of ten minutes. I was then told of all these other procedures and cleanings I would need done and how I would need to pay the cost up front because they would need at least 30 days before they could see what the insurance could cover. I have never felt more disrespected at any appointment before, not only was I not given the procedure I was ensured I'd be getting but I felt like my general health was not something to be considered. This was a terrible experience and it is evident that Dr. Megas does not care about the quality of care his patients get, as long as he is able to charge them in some way. If you want a doctor who cares about your questions, health, and will comply with state mandated pandemic prevention policies, I recommend you go elsewhere.
