I wish I had listened to the reviews. I started taking my son here last year, at first everything was wonderful. Melody the receptionist/dental assistant is very kind and accommodating. I wasn’t thrilled about the “no parents in the room during appointments,” but they assured me it was to prevent a reaction from your child and that most kids are more well behaved when not in front of their parent. The cleanings and sealants went perfectly fine, my son reassured me they were fun and nice and he enjoyed going there so we thought we’d found our new dentist. Fast forward to this week, my son need some composite bonding done on his permanent front tooth. The tooth had already suffered a root canal and had been broken off previously. Dr suzi agreed to refill the tooth and build it back up. When he came home Monday, the tooth looked awful. It was crooked and jagged and just was not aesthetically pleasing. I overlooked it because he’s a child and we have plans in the future to have a crown done anyway, so even though I was unhappy, I let it go and just appreciated the fact there was a tooth there. THE NEXT MORNING the entire composite falls out. He starts crying and I called dr suzi to make a new appointment to get it fixed again. She could not fit him in for two days, which again, whatever. I was giving her the opportunity to fix it and I was understanding that it’s a hard procedure and she’s having to go over someone else’s work. I get a call this morning only for dr suzi to tell me in was an INCONVENIENCE for her to work on my son today, as she was in an out of town office and not in the Ocala office and that it was an inconvenience to go out of her way and come to Ocala with my child being her only appointment. She said she was very busy and wanted to know if I could just take him somewhere else! I BEG YOUR BIGGEST PARDON?? It’s an inconvenience for you to go out of your way to fix your mistake? No apology, just excuses. Meanwhile my son’s tooth is in half and fully exposed. Zero stars if I could, melody is the only saving grace for this practice. The dentist is rude, incompetent, and can’t admit when a job is too complicated for her so she makes you feel as though you’re not important and an inconvenience. We won’t be back.
