Read More1st and Only Visit -The Doctor came in. Asked me who my psychologist was based on my medication and why I see a psychologist. Which is none of his freaking business. Now that I'm in tears, because of having to talk about things that I was not expecting to have to talk about. He brings up going over my medical history. Asks me a question and when I respond to the question and begin to explain what I've done to help correct the issue. He cuts me off mid sentence, rudely asks if I would be quiet so that he could talk. I responded with "this is our first visit together and I am only trying to explain what the history of what you just asked me about is. He stops me and says that he'll tell me what to do to fix the issue if I'll be quiet" I snarked in response out of complete shock that he just cut me off and said that. He then stood up , opened the door waved his arm out the door as if to say "get up and leave" and then said "you're not gonna listen, then I don't want to establish a doctor-patient relationship with you!" and walked off. I looked at the nurse in the room and said "Really? Is this high school? Am I not allowed to talk and answer questions that were asked of me?" To which she responded "if it didn't work out on the first visit then it won't work out, he's done, he's not gonna see you, you can leave. The only person there that was nice, considerate and went out of her way to make sure that she communicated openly and effectively with me was Marilyn. I left the Doctor's office in tears, feeling unheard, shut-down, ridiculed, disrespected, hopeless
and in utter shock at the lack of bedside manner and just downright lack of respect that this man had. His actions and words were demeaning. If you're looking for somebody who is actually going to listen to you and here what it is you're asking for help with, this is NOT your guy. In my newly developed opinion he is a disgrace to the white coat and shouldn't be wearing it. Clearly, he's not in medicine to help people.
