These people are scammers, avoid them at all costs.
I had hit my maximum insurance out-of-pocket payment for the year, but they still insisted on charging a copay before letting me see my doctor. I stood in their lobby for an hour, showed them a document proving my out-of-pocket max had been met, and even got an insurance rep on the phone stating that I was no longer responsible for copayments. They refused to listen to any of this, only retorting that "it's their policy" to charge a copay regardless. And then when they finally let me in for my appointment, the nurse practitioner told me I shouldn't be responsible for the copay too.
Now I have to wait for someone on my insurance helpline in order to get reimbursed directly. What should've been a 15-minute physical appointment has now consumed my entire afternoon.
Oh well, I hope their billing manager enjoys the starbucks latte that "copay" bought them.
