Read MoreOne of the best neurologist I’ve ever had. I’ve had ones that would order unnecessary test every six months just to bill my insurance even though it had been years since I’d had a seizure. I’ve had ones trying to change my medicine that had been working for me for years. Heck My first neurologist tried to say I was faking them until he finally caught two on video EEG. But once I met Dr. Callow and told him it had been four years since I had a seizure, I was honestly waiting for him to order a bunch of test and try to adjust my meds. Instead he looked at me and said “ well that’s great, I’m not going to change anything because your medicine seems to be working. I’m just going to order your refills and see you back in a year unless something happens then give us a call and I’ll see you before then.” I was shocked but also happy. Happy because now I could stop going to the neurologist every 3-6 months, and stop having to have multiple EEGs in between that time to look for activity that obviously wasn’t there because my meds were controlling them, and happy that someone was actually listening and not just trying to bill/get money from my insurance. It has now been 7 years since I’ve had a seizure and 3 of those I’ve spent with dr. Callow and never once have he mentioned an EEG or med adjustment. ☺️☺️ He’s literally one of the best! 🥰
