The worst Dr after 24 years I have been telling countless times that the medicine I’ve been taking for my medical condition was making me gain weight he was always against me till like a month ago I was pretty upset and complained again after so many times I told him if he can help with weight loss cause I feel I’m gaining too much so he searched online and was like ok I see let’s do test then we go from there for the weight loss to find out I’m pre diabetic if he would’ve done something before I wouldn’t be like this 😔 but he doesn’t listen to his patients I told him soo are you going to refer something for weight loss he said no! so besides not listening to his patients he lies he does not note what he says to his patients so you have to repeat everything from last visit you’ll be lucky if he remembers horrible Dr my mom had a bad experienced in the past I should’ve listened 😔

Dr. Adobofour can’t stop talking long enough to listen to his patients. I cannot tell you how many times I was cut off when speaking to him, on multiple occasions. Since my very first visit inwith him and sitting down in his office and trying to give him my history on what’s been going on with me for the past 20 years. He kept asking me to repeat myself which made me feel like he wasn’t listening to me. He told me he was going to help me and patted me on the back and told me everything would be ok, this should have been red flag number 1! This is your first time meeting me and you’re telling me it’s ok, everything will be alright! First of all, what was wrong with me in the first place? Then over the course of the next 5+months and 25 appointments with psychology, physical therapy, chiropractic and pain management all I kept getting was a bunch of talking in circles and empty promises. I’m not sure of what I did or how I may have acted that would have given these doctors any reason to treat me in the way me and my wife were treated and blatantly lied to both of us on multiple occasions. Dr. Adobofour did not follow through with any of his promises or the timeline in which they were to happen. At our first meeting he advised me that he would be ordering an MRI for me and he referred me to pain management and sends a prescription to my pharmacy for me to fill, that to this day I have not received. When I get to pain management a few weeks later I am now out of all pain meds from my previous doctor, my pharmacy says there is an issue with filling this new prescription but they say it’s something to do with the doctors DEA license and then I have my appointment with pain management and they tell me because they don’t have an MRI from within the last year on file they can’t do anything for my pain at that time and tell me to follow up with my PCP. I get an over the phone appointment with Dr. Adobofour and he tells me he doesn’t know what is going on with his license or the MRI but will follow up with me at my in person appointment in the next few days. I go to this appointment only to find out that the MRI can be submitted via “Urgent” or “Non-Urgent” and that their new computer system is a little troublesome for the doctor and he didn’t understand the assignment. Apparently this was the reason for the delay of the MRI. He then hand wrote a list of 4 things he was going to do for me by Tuesday of the next week but I had to be patient with him. One of which would be getting together with Dr. Sandhu at pain management and getting another MRI ordered “Urgent” and he would do his best to figure out why I couldn’t fill get my prescription filled. Even when at pain management it was one excuse after another as to why they couldn’t help me or give me anything until my MRI comes in. A week or so goes by and I’ve already had the MRI and I’ve gotten my next appointment confirmation with Dr. Adobofour for late Monday evening. It’s a video appointment, I get a call from his office that morning making sure I know it’s a phone appointment and that I’ll for sure be there. The appointment time comes and goes, I believe it was at 4:30 pm. It’s now past 5 and I know the office closes at 5 etc. I call the office number and get the after hours recording. A few minutes later I get Dr. Adobofour on a video call and he proceeds to tell me he has great news! He got my newest scan of my back and it’s by some miracle my back is not broken and this scan somehow shows I shouldn’t be in any pain but to follow up with pain management cause they are there to help me with my pain and he still hasn’t gotten his licensing straightened out. Needless to say, I’m glad I don’t have something seriously wrong with me. 9+ months later and still no help. I have multiple health issues and for one reason or another this man decided to focus on 1 thing and only 1 thing, Pain Meds! I was 315lbs a year ago, I’m down to 221lbs, almost 100lbs of weight loss. All because I wanted to do something to help my back and not be in so much pain. Dr. Adobofour, go get FUčkēd!

Dr Adubofour is one of the best doctor that I have ever met. He is highly knowledgeable about diseases. Very compassionate, he has been my father's primary physician for the past 4 years , my father's speaks highly of him and always says Dr Adubofour takes very good care of his health. I have met him severally in his clinic with my dad, we cannot ask for more. He is very fun to be with.

Good morning, I brought my dad today as walk in patient. The staff are friendly & courteous. Dr. Adubofour is awesome & excellent Attending Physician. He is thorough with his medical evaluation. He took the time to explain my dad's medical condition, current medications and plan of care to treat current issues. My dad has a return appointment this Friday as follow up after all diagnostic procedures are completed today. I came from NY & based on experience, it's rare to encounter a Physician like Dr. Adubofour who is humanistic. I highly recommend this doctor. I'm so thankful & blessed that he is my dad's doctor. Kwabena Adubofour who does not deserve the title "Dr.", is unequivocally the worst & most unprofessional doctor I have ever encountered in my entire life. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! Literally. We waited 2 hours on two different appointments before he even made it to his clinic. He gave every excuse under the sun for his lateness plus the check-up he performed was brief & not thorough at all. I felt like I was speaking to a con-artist This guy needs his license revoked immediately. Be warned. *Additional Comment on 3/21/2014: I have been informed that Dr. Adubofour has become aware of this review & had some feed back for my 81 year old mother who by the way is the patient I'm referring to in this review. I was told he felt this review was written about him as if I were the patient receiving this treatment. Let me clarify.....I was NOT and NEVER would be a patient of Dr. Adubofour. My mother was his patient who I was assisting because.....she's my 81 year old mother. That's what children do for their elderly parents. They provide assistance. Dr. Adobufour's unprofessional conduct should not have to be tolerated by anyone whether they are a patient or assists one of his patient. If you read this again, please stop making poor excuses for your actions towards me to my mother. You're fooling no one Dr Adubofour. Work on your communication skills, be on time to your patient's appointments like every other doctor should & talk to me like an adult if you have any further comments. Thank you. *Additional Comment on 5/20/2022: My mother passed away 2 years ago. I won't go into great detail about the last time I saw Dr. Adubofour but it was about 3 weeks before my mother passed away. My mother called me from the hospital in a tremendous amount of pain and asked me to come help her. I bolted to the hospital and discovered the nurse assigned to my mother had not inserted her Iv correctly and her medication was spilling into her bed for hours. As you can imagine, I was furious and Dr. Adubofour was called. He immediately came to the hospital and got things corrected right away which included removing the nurse who had made this very detrimental mistake. He then nicely asked to speak with me to the side and we had a very serious one on one conversation about our past. To put it short, he took responsibility for the past issues and apologized to me. I thanked him for being honest, peaceful and working to get my mother back in a state of comfort. My mother was extremely happy that we had settled our differences and made amends. With all that being said, I'm glad he finally did do the right thing and wish him the best of luck. Looks like his reviews have gotten better over the past few years since I posted this as well so maybe this helped. Thank you for your assistance that day Dr. Adubofour. I've added more stars to the review because of it.

I was excited for my first visit to Dr. Kwabena's office; because I was excited to get away from Kaiser and their politics. I couldn't have imagined that things would have gone the way that they did. Although I am not a fan of Kaiser, some of the services they provided were great. I have been in a lot of car accidents within the past few years. I have lost a lot of family also within the last few years. Also, I was diagnosed with RA last year. I was trying to continue some of the treatment from Kaiser get my depression medication and see a pain specialist; along with some physical therapy. I honestly couldn't get a word in. This doctor would ask me a question then talk over me before I got a chance to answer. So needless to say, I wasn't able to get any of the treatment that I have been paying for. Which caused me to miss a lot of work and have a lot of emotional break downs. Also, costing me a lot of money. Its a shame that the people that don't pay for medical treatment get better medical treatment than us that pay for it. God gave us 2 ears and 1 mouth because he wants us to listen more than we talk.

My late husband was a patient of KwabenaOpoku-MensahAdubofourMDFACP. I have nothing but upmost respect for Dr. Adubofour, and will recommend him every single time!! Back I October of 2015, my late husband, Mike Bulman, was in a coma for about 2 1/2 weeks and clinically brain dead. I sat by his side every single day. Matter fact, Dr Adubofour knew my being there was what my husband needed and Dr. Adubofour gave me $20 out of his own pocket so that I had gas to keep coming every day. Sure enough, my husband made a breakthrough and not only woke up, but was sound and coherent as well as responding and sitting up. Dr. Adubofour said it would be a long road ahead of him, but my husband made a comeback and was gonna make it with extensive physical therapy. However, my spiteful brother in law waited til Dr. Adubofour was not present to hold a meeting and had, on my birthday 10/26/15, had the hospital pul the plug. I know my husband would have been her to this day because of Dr. Adubofour, and me being by his side everyday, day in, day out. It's because of my spiteful, brother in law that convinced the hospital director to pull the plug...despite my demanding to wait til Dr. Adubofour was present to back me up.

i love this doctor he is always on point and he never makes mistakes. he is honest and trustworthy and never gives bad advice. i will pass his name around to everyone and anyone. this is honestly one of the best doctors in the central valley i woudnt trade him for any other doctor no matter what. doctors like him are very hard to find💯❤

I love Dr. Adubofour. He's thorough and attentive! I really hesitated going to him with the bad reviews he's received but I have to totally disagree with all the bad stuff! The Doctor is a gem... He knows his stuff and explains everything!
