Upon coming into the exam room, the assistant explains that for a better consolidation, a CT scan will be recommended. She explained that the full cost of the CT scan would be needed to proceed. I had to make a call and make financial arrangements to take care of that. Within a 10 minute call doing so, Dr. Wilcox came in. At that moment, I did not know who he was, as he did not introduce himself to me. He saw I was on the phone and stepped out. I gestured to give me one moment as I was almost done with my transaction.
Once I was done, I agreed to proceed with the recommended CT scan and followed the nurse to have it done. Once it was done, I was shown back to my exam room, and I waited about 10 minutes (which was no problem on my part) for the doctor to come into my exam room. With very little greeting, he came out and stated that he did not appreciate that I was on the phone when he came in earlier. He stated that I was being rude, unprofessional, and didn't value his time. I apologized and explained that I needed to make quick financial arrangements to take care of the cost of the CT scan. He stated that he had nothing to do with that, and it didn't change the fact that I acted unprofessional. (Are you kidding me)
He spoke to me as if I were a child being disciplined. He made me feel very uncomfortable as he stood over me and stated that he believed it was best that we parted ways. No doubt, I agreed.
There is no way I would allow myself to be betrated by THIS narcissistic condescending man. I have never had an experience like this and am not one to put negative thoughts or energy out there, but this had to be documented.
