The worst, most unprofessional experience I've ever had in 60 years and I have 13 stints, pacemaker/defibralator, diabetes and have been hospitalized more than 20 times in past 15 years. So needless to say, I have had more than my share of medical issues to fairly access what I deem is poor health care services. I arrived at 3:15, the customary polite 15 minutes before my appoinment time of 3:30. I assume as with all new patients that I would have the usual papers to fill out and wanted to have plenty if time. Once through the door, where patients were sitting elbow to elbow, paying no attention whatsoever to CDC's 6 foot guidelines, I made my way to the "receptionists" window to check in. I gave the employee my name and was told to "have a seat and I'll be with you in just a minute, OK'AAAAY" so I seated myself in the only available chair located right next to window I had just been to. After watching 35 minutes of "How the lottery change my life" another patient came in and went to the window and checked in as a new patient where she was then given a clipboard with the usual questionnaire and asked for her drivers license and insurance card. I tried not to make much of it at the time and sat waiting patiently for my name to be called. While I was lucky enough to get to finish the first hour of how someone's 220 million dollar lottery winnings afforded them every luxury In life, I sat for 15 more minutes and another patient came in and went to the window and proceeded to say she was there for her appointment when the receptionist said "Your appointment is not till tomorrow.... but you can stay, and I'll get you in..... I got you girl" I continued waiting and watching the people in front of me get called back and thought ok, I should be next. I wasnt. The lady that didn't have an appointment that came in 45 minutes and 3 people after myself was called. At this point I decided to go to the window and question my appointment. All this time I was sitting right next to the window where she worked and am within clear view of her. She acted surprised and said I got you right now, come on back. I went on back where I was asked personal questions in front of 3 other still waiting patients. Then I was ushered back to a chair in the middle of a common work area for employees working on computers and was told they'd be with me shortly. 10 minutes later the "receptionist" comes back with a clipboard with the usual papers for me to fill out as a new patient. This was the final straw. Why didn't she give me this paperwork when I arrived nearly 2 hours earlier. It could have been filled out and done before just as she had the new patient that came in after me do. And as if my entire afternoon wasn't already wasted with an unprofessional, I went on to notice that the paperwork had me listed as African American and I am exactly the polar opposit. If this kind of negligence and oversight occurs on medical documents, I have no intention of trusting my healthcare to this office. Other more professional offices are out there. You have a choice of who you give your business to. Choose wisely. Oh yeah, and not once in the 2 hours I was there did I see anyone use any type of disinfectant to clean any of the common surfaces that so many patients had previously touched.
