Urgent Warning: Aspen Dental’s Deceptive Practices
If you’re considering Aspen Dental, RUN THE OTHER WAY! This place is nothing but a money-hungry scam that preys on unsuspecting patients with bogus diagnoses, inflated treatment plans, and shady financing tactics.
I went in for a 2nd opinion on dental check-up I had just 2 weeks ago, having zero symptoms. My X-rays were fine, and the dentist even said the xrays looked great. I only wanted a 2nd opinion because they found (1) 6mm pocket and mentioned possibly doing a SRP. When I went to Aspen yesterday the moment they started probing, (super quick and no effort) suddenly I had “periodontal disease”and “ a lot of bone loss”— A lot of 4’s and 5’s which magically wasn’t there two weeks prior!
She zoomed into the xray so much to make it seem there was a lot of bone loss like I was ignorant.
They conveniently recommended an expensive deep cleaning and SRP treatment and extraction of my wisdom teeth pushing financing options immediately costing almost $10,000. Whats hilarious is that my husband had an appointment as well separately from me and they told him the exact same thing verbatim and tried to sell him on braces he didnt need.
CONFIRMED SCAM!
I was skeptical, so I went to a trusted dentist for a second opinion. Hes been doing this for over 40 years and sits on the board for examiners. Guess what?!?! I DO NOT HAVE GUM DISEASE. The second dentist confirmed that Aspen Dental exaggerates probing numbers and fabricates diagnoses to justify high-cost treatments. They inflate your gum pocket measurements and add all these codes to make it seem like you need thousands of dollars in unnecessary procedures.
To make matters worse, the hygienist did the same thing to my husband! We had separate appointments, yet they used the exact same scare tactics on both of us—proving this is their business model, not real dental care.
Aspen Dental pressures you to sign CareCredit agreements or other financing on the spot. They don’t give you time to think, they rush you into payments, and once you sign, you’re trapped in their system.
Aspen Dental = Corporate Greed, Not Healthcare
This place is not run by real, ethical dentists—it’s a corporate money-making scheme. They prioritize sales quotas over patient care, and there are hundreds of malpractice claims against them.
DO NOT go to Aspen Dental. If they claim you need deep cleanings, SRPs, or major treatments, get a second opinion from a real private dentist. They are scamming innocent people out of thousands of dollars with false diagnoses.
If you’ve been scammed by Aspen Dental, share your experience so others don’t fall victim! I will ne reporting them to the board, FTC. CFPB and State Attorneys office.
