It makes me sad to give this review. I was very sick with constant coughing and chest congestion. I was using the albuterol nebulizer 3 times a day along with nasal irrigation. I had been to an urgent care for help about 3 weeks prior after the office cancelled my appointment due to a power outage. Obviously that was no one’s fault, but I had told them I was very sick. They didn’t call me back so I kept soldering on. When I called back I was scheduled to see a NP which was fine with me. She was very good. I went home doing everything I was told. Several weeks past and I became so incredibly weak I could barely stand up. The coughing was incessant. I could break it up sometimes with relief and it would start all over again. I had no strength to do anything. So I called the office and was given an appointment for that afternoon with Dr. Baker. I was so anticipating that I would finally get help. I told Dr. Baker how I had never in my life wished so much to be hospitalized but I was so sick and weak. He told me it was a virus and I would just have to tough it out. Then he ordered a CBC to see if I’m anemic! As a nurse, that sounded crazy to me in light of my symptoms. I told him I wasn’t anemic. I was sick. He asked me what I wanted and I suggested a culture, so he added that to the order. I left there so sad and discouraged.
Three days later, I was worse. My husband made me an appointment with our PCP. The NP ordered a chest X-ray and a 15 day course of Augmentin. We went to Nationwide for the X-ray which confirmed pneumonia.
