Half-way a procedure, the staff entered the room and told my daughter that they do not take her insurance. My daughter was told that, "well, your getting the cleaning", but do you want us to ask the doctor not to come in for the check up? She said no to the doctor, but was under the impression that she would be charged for a cleaning anyway, so, being nervous and not knowing what to do, said we (her parents) would pay for it. We were charged full price $97.00 and now we still have to find another dentist and pay for a full check up. This was a last-minute appointment and I was at work and not able to call and check our insurance. Isn't that something that the provider does? My other providers are very good about this. When I asked if we could get some sort of concession for the confusion, they were extremely rude; insinuating that my daughter did or said the wrong thing.
