I called yesterday with an emergency, after waking up and my entire left side of my face was swollen. I called right away, and explained the emergency. I was told that 845 the next morning was the earliest time availble. I had to call back, ask for the email address, just so i can send Dr Nunnally a photo of my face... as i was that worried something was wrong.
They were nice enough to call in a prescription for antibiotics while i waited for my appointment.
Fast forward to morning of my appointment... I am turned away from service because I was late to the appointment. MIND YOU... I explained that i was stuck in gridlock traffic on the tollway, and i greatly appologized. I was standing there, with a half swollen face still... being turned away while i am stating that I am having a medical emergency.
None of that mattered.... My family's years of being a paitent, even speaking with them on the phone explaining i was a few minutes behind, medical emergency... nothing.
The lady at the counter said that at least they were nice enough to call in prescriptions....
I am completely stunned and appaled by this entire experience.
WITHIN 1 HOUR... I had called Alfa Dental and they had me X-Rayed and in a chair helping me. Turned out that I had a tooth infection that broke through to my sinuses.
PEOPLE DIE FROM THESE.
This wasnt just a bad experience at the front desk, or a misunderstanding unfortunately. The more i think about it, the complete lack of care and disregard for their patients health... calling multiple times, having to send photos and stress a medical emergency... completely unprofessional.
AFTER i had left... i was called and told that I would have the option to sit and wait for Dr to have an opening... something that I would have gladly and whole heartedly taken if that was discussed, but it wasn't until after being kicked out.
