Stay away! Avoid this office based on my brief experience.
I called and left a message based on Bluecross/Blueshield listing his office as accepting new patients. They said they weren't taking new patients and asked if someone referred me. I said "No, but can you refer...." and I was abruptly interrupted after the word "no" with "Have a good day. Bye"
Three things that don't sit well:
1. Why do I have to leave a message when I call for an appointment? Not very personable...
2. Perhaps, this office doesn't pay enough attention to BCBS to update their status of accepting new patients. If they have missed that detail, will they miss a detail with your bill or even worse - your healthcare?!?!?
3. The person who called (presumably a receptionist) rudely cut me off after hearing the word "no". I hadn't even finished my sentence. If I give her the benefit of the doubt, maybe she has a hard time hearing ... I hope that doesn't affect their billing or patient care!?!?! If I don't give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they didn't want to waste time with a non-patient, then perhaps they would carry this same attitude when billing you or providing healthcare!
Sadly, I picked this doctor based on his alma mater (the same as mine). I have to wonder if his office is a reflection of my university - yikes!
