I feel so cheated of my education and truly for my classmates as well. We did not receive any true teaching. Most of the time when we were shown a skill and we’re told to repeat it, we would be told to “just pretend” to do several things because we didn’t have the supplies? Or only a few people could do it before we didn’t have enough? I find this very concerning because with a real patient we can’t just pretend? We each paid $3,000 to be there, (some more if they took CNA before), and I truly don’t know what that was for, because we skipped several skills, and weren’t in class very long at all. I feel like I taught my self the classes. I work in this everyday, so I knew most of the things we covered in class, but as far as a few people in my classes, they were so confused. All of the people studying before our MA test were going over my study guide and there were serval things we never even went over in class at all.
One of my main complaints was the language in my class. My teacher would be talking about something she had experienced or something she had heard and would refer to the woman pubic area as the “p****y”. I find this extremely unprofessional and honestly quite disrespectful. She would tell us about her getting “laid” over the weekend, all kinds of stuff. I’m not sure if these are things that happen in all of the classes, but I just wanted to express how truly ripped off I feel.
Lastly, this happened several times and i’m honestly not sure why. She would give the class a study guide for the national tests, but would somehow fail to give one to me? She gave a fellow classmate one with the answers on it, but when I asked her about it she couldn’t provide that to me until I walked back in there because she thought I left. And this last class for MA she gave everyone else the study guide to test, except me.
