on 1/24/2024 I came into DR Ali's office in for a physical exam.
Upon checking in, i was the first appointment at 8:00am, I was told i had an overdue balance which they attempted to mail me a bill "three times."
I had been into the office on 12/12/2023 and also 12/27/20023 and was never notified of my balance until 1/24/2024.
I asked Dr Ali's receptionist, the older woman, the one with who sits on the left side of the office with the Miami dolphins doll why they hadn't tried to contact me in regards to this bill or attempt to look through my records for the copy of the ID they have which provides my full address.
While asking these questions, I was told by the receptionist that she "didn't have time for this at 8am" when it is quite literally her job to assist me with my questions on my bill and she closed the window in my face and did not help me with my billing.
When I went home to check my bill, they had already deleted my account.
I thought this was extremely unprofessional. People who "don't have time to deal with the issues of patients early in morning" should not work in a field where they might have to do so.
Dr. Ali is great, but if she's going to ruin the good environment she provides by hiring lazy receptionists, I will be happy to find a new doctor where both the receptionist and Dr. care about the environment they provide for their patients. Good riddance.
