I would first like to express by dissatisfaction with caremax and it’s referral team just like other patients / family of patients have expressed on their reviews. A patient can literary die or medical condition worsen due to the ineptitude of caremax and its lack of urgency with these type of matter. Dr. Ana Lorenzo referred my dad who is 84years old to urologists in July. Appointment was booked with urologist in July for September 12 due to availability. On September 10th the urologist office called me to inform they had not yet received the referral from PCP. Luckily I was off from work to answer the call and act on it so that the appointment would not get cancel and have to wait another month for urologist to see my dad. In addition to the above , I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the staff of the caremax in 13th St in Saint Cloud FL. My Father was realeased from the hospital and needed special care for which I had to go on work leave. I brought in my FMLA documents requesting continuous leave for the timeframe required for his care to be completed by his PCP as hospital case manager had suggested. First the representative said “well I don’t think Dr. Ana Lorenzo will complete this since she was not the doctor that attended to him, just adding more worry and concern to my situation. I didn’t need to hear more negative news. I let out my frustration and told her to give it to her as his PCP she will be aware of his situation and as his caregiver is my right to have FMLA for a valid reason and to check his medical record. As I was talking to FMLA team, the office manager with caremax Nair Jimenez who did not introduced herself at all very unprofessionally was talking to me at the same time I was talking to the department where the FMLA documents needed to be submitted. She asked me to leave the office due to Hippa laws that applies to them not me as I was not discussing their patients information. They made me go to the office 3 times because the documents were not fully completed, missing doctor’s signature on one section and leaving boxes unchecked that needed to be selected because the doctor hand wrote the information but FMLA team needed fully completed were it pertained on the form When Wendy the PCP assistant told the doctor she came back explaining that they could not do anything since it was the same to what the doctor had handwritten I was just dumbfounded by the behavior. I asked for information on how to put a complaint she went back to get it but came back asking for the document to complete. They still did not give me the information on how to put a complaint directly with caremax. I had not experienced any issues with this team in the regular appointments. However this team does not know how to properly approach a person, handle difficult situations, how to be detailed when completing important documents and much less empathetic to people’s delicate situation and instead of easing the process make it more difficult than what it has to be.
