I called ahead to ask if they had availability and she said yes and I could come in in 20 mins. I arrive and ask for an hour long massage. I paid $30 for an uber ride, because I don't have a car. I It's then that she tells me she "might" have a client in 45 minutes and if she does then I can't have my full massage. I'm unhappy about this because that's bad business. She accepted my reservation during the overlap of another one. It's not my fault if the client comes in 45 mins or not, but I'm sure affected if I would have gone somewhere else that could take me.
What upset me is how she assumed that this was perfectly fine and even said "if the client shows up and your massage is only 45 minutes, there's always next time" like I don't live here, have a car, and I called ahead and you double booked and think I'm coming back?
I went through with the 45 mins because I was in so much pain, and she took 3 phone calls during my massage. 3. I get that times are tough but if you're the front desk, and the masseuse for two people at the same time, that's really amazing. AND REALLY BAD BUSINESS. You lost out on a return customer because the one you weren't sure was coming was more important.
