Not only because they are exceptional listeners and communicators, and do great work (I had arthroscopic shoulder surgery on my labrum and rotator cuff) but also his medical assistant, Cassie, and front office are polite, concerned, efficient … good listeners.Dr. Smith is clearly passionate about his work and making sure his patients understand and are comfortable with the plan of care.Dan Chapin, his PA his given me the most effective cortisone shots in my knees, they eliminate the pain for months, and most often I don’t even feel him doing the ejections.Cassie is always pleasant and returns calls promptly and with thorough answers.I would not waste my time going all the way to Boston; Boston has some great places in great physicians, but I have had wonderful experiences with everyone at Cape Cod Orthopaedics.Incidentally their staff at CCHospital were wonderful; the nurses were exceptionally pleasant and attentive.A year later . . .Yes, I was so pleased with my experiences, a year later I was back at Cape Cod ortho to get total knee replacements.So far, I’ve only gotten the right one done, and all I can do is reiterate the above. This time it was Dr. Dwyer, his nurse practitioner, and his medical assistant. They were all wonderful and very informative. The surgery went smoothly and the recovery is going extremely well also.Again, Cape Cod Physical Therapy remains very coordinated with the doctors. They communicate regularly, so when I went for my post surgery appointment, the doctor knew all my PT measurements and how I was progressing. As a result, I’m looking forward to having the other knee done in a month.I am very grateful and appreciative of all the staff at Cape Cod Ortho. Everyone from booking to the receptionist, MAs, NPs, PAs, doctors, and everyone on-between are top-notch.
