The initial exam and everything was great. The doctor who saw to me was fantastic. Everything else, not great. I went in wanting contacts. I said it every chance I could get, but mentioned I was cautious because the last time I tried them (over a decade ago), it didn't go well. This place was recommended to me by someone who experienced the same thing I did with contacts and said they were great. I was given sample packs to check out, and then that was it in terms of the contacts. No instructions on how to use them (I did my research and got them to work), no questions about going forward with them, nothing. I was, in my opinion, rushed to pick out glasses which I specified was my second choice. Then nothing was really explained in that process, all these options were chosen (if I'm being fair I probably would have chose them anyway) but nothing was discussed in terms of pricing or if I choose glasses, I won't be allowed to use my insurance against my contacts purchase, and on top of that it was nearly $700.00. I should have stopped the whole process but I haven't had an opportunity to go to an eye physician since 2017. As much as I liked the doctor, I won't be going back. When I picked up my glasses and asked about the contacts part, it seemed like the blame was being put on me. They weren't malicious per se, but very passively it seemed like they were saying it was my fault I didn't get contacts and then told me after all that about the part where I couldn't get contacts as well. Plus, I never received a contact prescription either nor was I fitted for any so it's not like I can just go buy them myself without likely having to fork over more money.
I rarely ever give a negative review but this one I feel is earned.
