Read MoreI’ve been going to Blades Salon for several years now, and after living in Pocatello for more than 25 years, this has hand’s down become my all-time fave. Aside from the fact that the salon is a friendly place with a happy vibe, it’s located in station square where you can grab a drink to enjoy during your visit, or lunch in the square when you’re all done and feeling pretty.
My go-to stylist is Molly, who not only is super accomplished at cutting hair and helping you choose your best style, but she is a master at color and can work her magic to give you anything from subtle highlights that compliment your natural color, to making a bold statement in literally any color (or blend of colors!) you choose. When I made the choice to embrace going gray Molly helped me choose a beautiful soft shade to cover my tinted brunette color. With her help, transitioning was easy and I skipped that whole awkward grow-out period.
I also recently discovered Alexis, who is a nail technician specializing in custom nail art and embellishments, and she is now giving me the best nails of my life. Am I exaggerating? Nope! She is up to date on current trends and techniques, and I love that my nails with an overlay are sturdy without looking heavy or bulky, my polish is perfectly applied, and my cuticles and fingertips look the best they ever have.
Can you tell how much I love this salon? Blades is getting ready to celebrate their 10th anniversary in business, and I’m only sorry that I didn’t discover them sooner. Between the atmosphere, accomplished stylists and technicians, very reasonable prices, and fun location with plenty of parking right behind the back entrance, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this salon any time you’re in the mood to pamper yourself.
