If I could give less than 1 star, I would!! I remember when Billie Sue first opened her practice. She was friendly, engaged and had a great staff. Fast forward to today....I had an appt on Monday, Jan 15th (an annual check-up and I wanted to inquire about weight loss options). I took 1/2 day off from work (vacation time) and arrived at the office 15 min before my 1:45pm check-in. The doors were locked with a note taped to the door stating they were closed due to weather - not sure when it was posted (see attached). Yes, we did have a lot of snow a few days before and the side roads were not great in the morning, but this is 1:45 in the afternoon, certainly time for someone to text or call. I left a VM asking to have someone call to reschedule my appointment. After waiting 3 days, I didn't get a return call, so I called on Thursday and rescheduled. I was asked if I would like a Telehealth visit or in-person. (I got the impression they prefer Telehealth.) Not a WORD mentioned about the appt THEY had to cancel. Not an explanation or an apology. NOTHING.
Today I show up for my rescheduled appt 10 minutes before my 10am check in. The door was locked and the receptionist unlocked it (I must be the first patient of the day, hurray)! I waited a little while, then I asked to use the restroom. When I came back out the receptionist (who showed me to the restroom) informs me that they will need a urine sample from me. What? I JUST peed! The receptionist later calls me from the waiting room to have my vitals recorded and I wait in the exam room with a large glass of water. And I wait. And wait. At 10:40am I opened the door and asked the receptionist, "do you know how much longer it will be"? (I need to get to work!). She said "She (Billie Sue) is on her way. She had a little car trouble." I go back to the exam room and wait another 15 minutes. I walk back out and ask "have you heard from Billie Sue"? The receptionist shook her head "no". I said, "I'm the first patient of the day, right?" She nodded. That was it. She just looked at me. It was 10:55am, I was her first appt at 10am. When I walked out, there was another person in the waiting room, filling out paperwork. I said "I wouldn't go to her if I were you, they're terrible!" and walked out the door.
I'm disappointed and totally disgusted by the way I've been treated. It's apparent that neither Billie Sue nor her staff give a DAMN about the "care" they proclaim to provide. The practice website is dishonest. There should be some repercussion, shouldn't there??
I would NEVER recommend this office to anyone and will inform all others I have referred (there are many) about this unbelievable experience.
PS - If they had time to type up the note and tape it to the door, wouldn't they have had time to text/call their scheduled visits??
