Read MoreI was very impressed and satisfied with the Austin Women's Health Center. I was able to get an appointment the same day I called and further scheduling was just as easy. The staff, from the office clerks to the nurses and the physician, were all courteous, professional, and competent. They made me feel very comfortable about the whole process.
The wait times were extremely reasonable, given how many people were waiting in the office each day I went in. It is obvious that everyone is doing their best to keep things running smoothly, shuttling people in and out for the lab tests, counselling, sonograms, and information giving. They followed all the new (in my opinion stupid) Texas laws about information dissemination and the 24 hour post-sonogram waiting period.
The clinic itself was very clean and orderly. At no point did I feel I was being treated without respect or agency. They give you lots of opportunities to talk about any feelings or issues you have, and answer questions patiently. Overall it was an excellent experience with trained professionals, and I would definitely rate it higher than many other doctors' office visits I've had over the years.
