My son was really sick, So I brought him into this Urgent care per usual. This time he was seen by NP Danielle Kucik. She was rude, dismissive, and very condescending. She said nothing is wrong with him After looking at him for 30 seconds. . And says “He can go back to school tomorrow”. Mind you, he had a low-grade fever still in the office only because we had given him medication earlier that day. I had to explain to her how incredibly sick he was and all of his many symptoms more than once and tht there was no way that he would be able to go to school tomorrow. She argued with me until I talked to somebody else and they ran test and gave him an extra 24 hours out of school. And when the test came back, comes to find out he had influenza. And her argument with me is that he is up and looks fine and was drinking an icee And keeping it down fine when he came in. That was the first thing he had had that whole day and he was sick so I was trying to keep fluids in him because he was pretty dehydrated And had been throwing up in diarrhea, coughing so I got him something on the way there that he could drink and get some fluids in him and maybe soothe his throat. And my son is on the spectrum with extreme social anxiety and she asked him how he was doing and My son said fine and she proceeded to say “well he said he was fine”. Unbelievable! I’m telling hes not. So then I spoke to a nurse Jen, who was a little better, but not much basically acted as if this was normal professional behavior and I basically had to tell her My son had the flu and she said the flu is something that they can’t diagnose by just looking at them yet Yet, I told them all of the symptoms, He still had a fever, yet they were not even initially going to run test on him I had to push for them. This was such a frustrating experience. I was so upset about the whole thing! None of it made any sense and honestly, it just seemed unprofessional Unqualified and really uncomfortable. And the fact that they were going to send my son home with no test, no nothing as if he was fine and send him back to school the next day while he had Influenza and clear symptoms is Extremely unprofessional and the reason why It’s spreading the way it is. We go to the doctor because we expect our doctors to Take it seriously and find out what is wrong. At the very least, if we’re seeing the NPs , we expect the same thing! Neither was done at this visit and I’m extremely disappointed and probably will never be coming back here ever again. I gave it two stars only because I used to like this place but the last few times it’s just been horrible. The staff is either overworked or lazy or both either way it’s no excuse and something should be done because I wouldn’t recommend this place to Anybody especially for children! No compassion whatsoever and it’s almost pointless because they take nothing seriously! A bunch of “burned out” medical professionals is playing a dangerous game And honestly, that’s what it seems like they just don’t care anymore Barely going through the motions.
