I purchased a gift card to gift a specific massage style/experience to my mother a while back. She recently set an appointment and was on her way out (close to an hour and a half drive), and as she was driving to meet her appointment she received a call from one of the employees May, needing to reschedule for a different date and time twice, and then again for a different time though same day as the originally set appointment. To make matters worse my mother was told the specific massage she requested couldn’t be done due to another masseuse who wasn’t trained in the style she had requested was using the room required to complete the massage. So, she would need to settle for a deep tissue massage instead. Unfortunately, my mother was more accommodating than I would have been receiving a phone call short notice to repeatedly reschedule a previously set appointment several times, and be asked to “settle” for a massage I hadn’t requested or wanted? Not wishing to turn around after driving as far as she did she settled. Unfortunately, for a mediocre massage experience at best. Had she enjoyed it and felt she got her money’s worth the story would be different. I am not impressed with the handling of this situation, no refund was offered, nor was any alternative accommodations suggested. Seemed very much like “oh well, we made the mistake, but you can either accept a downgrade or bite the bullet of wasted time, gas, and energy and try again next time.” I will not be spending anymore money at this establishment nor will I be recommending it to anyone. Major disappointment, I was truly hoping to gift my mother a positive experience that significantly fell short.
