Made an appointment in advance for health concerns with my heart after having COVID19 in December 2022. Waited patiently for my appointment and took time off of work, so I could be there at 8:40 in the morning. Traffic lead me to have to call at 8:32 to say I was running just a few mins late. I tried to call, but my call went straight to voicemail when they have staff present at the office. Traffic was, also, heavy at the hospital. It took 15 mins just to find parking, which I had never experienced at the location before. By the time I got to the office because I had to park and walk, it was a little before 9 am, and I was turned away by Dr. Keto and his staff for being late, even though I had tried to give notice via phone call and was specifically behind because of Carle’s parking situation. I was told I could come back at 2 when it was not at all possible for me because I only had a half day off of work.
I will not be rescheduling my appointment with Dr. Keto and will be looking for a new Primary Care physician. I wasted my entire morning for an appointment that did not happen and was severely distraught by how I was treated at Carle, especially considering the serious nature of my visit. In the afternoon, I received a generic notice in MyCARLE from Dr. Keto lamenting that I had “missed” my appointment when I was physically there in his office this morning to be seen. I received uncaring customer service after I waited weeks and drove a long way for heart issues to specifically see Dr. Keto, who used to be my preferred physician. He has completely lost my recommendation.
