I had a bad fall in 2019 that was misdiagnosed as a sprain. I visited this practice and they did weight-bearing foot x-rays so they were able to diagnose a Lisfranc dislocation. I was extremely sad to hear this news and Dr. García showed very poor bedside manner. There was no compassion and he was not very helpful. He transferred me to the practice across the street to a different doctor because “there was nothing he could do to help me.” There was a student at the time of my visit, and the student was more compassionate than Dr. García. The student-doctor or resident said something along the lines of “I’m sorry. I know this is not the news you wanted to hear.” and handed me a tissue. I will always remember that. It wasn’t much but it helped in a moment where I was upset after finding out I had a bad injury that required surgery.
Regardless of feelings, it’s concerning he was at loss with my case. Perhaps it’s lack of experience or maybe it was just a complicated case.
I’m glad to read other people had better experiences with Dr. García.
