This place used to care but I guess they don't anymore. Its only saving grace is Dr. Garth who is an amazing and caring doctor but he is surrounded by incompetent staff that apparently care more about what they're having for lunch that day other than oh say, accurately reviewing your lab results. I went in for lab work. the nurse called me back a few days later and said everything was fine even though I had a discussion with the Dr. about my testosterone being low. When I mention this to the nurse she then reviewed (apparently for the first time) my lab chart and said oh your testosterone IS low after having just told me that everything was great then she also informed me, ONLY after I asked her to look mind you, that my A1C was climbing back up. This was after she told me that everything was fine so then she says she will talk to doctor about getting medications authorized to be filled to treat the conditions. After a full week of waiting with no response, I called back, running into another issue. When you call, you no longer talk directly with the nurse or even staff in the same office. Now you're routed to an answering service who , "sends a message" to whoever and it takes days or even weeks to hear back, if you hear back at all, which of course, I didn't. So after another week I had to call AGAIN and then 3 days later the nurse calls me back (are you ready for this?) The nurse leaves another voicemail that is literally a cut and paste of the exact same thing she said before telling me that my labs were fine and then all I needed was vitamin D3. Absolutely mindblowing at the level of gross incompetence. It is appalling to me that a place once as prestigious as Springhill would allow someone who is responsible for your well being to just make egregious mistakes repeatedly like that. What if those were life saving drugs I needed? I would've had to go to the ER to get my insulin or nitro. Its sickening and frustrating. Thanks to Obama, Biden and Harris, your health now lies solely at the discretion of a random person at the insurance company and the hospitals have to hire unqualified individuals so they can meet some quota. That said, I honestly hope the Alabama Medical Group gets their act together. Dr. Garth is the only reason I even bother coming back but if they can't give him a competent support team, I feel sorry for the man. It's not his fault.
