you don’t normally hear about positive experiences at urgent care centers so i felt it was only appropriate to share my experience here.
i’ve never been to this location before— everyone i interacted with was so kind, starting with the two men at the front desk. the nurse who saw me, Arusha, was so sweet and helpful. her series of questions didn’t feel scary because her energy was really great- it felt like a conversation where i could tell she was listening to the things i was saying!
i was really anxious about what was happening in my body and i couldn’t be more thankful for everyone’s willingness to answer all my questions
the doctor who saw me, molly, was just amazing. i wish everyone could have an experience like i did— to be heard is so important and to be listened to is even more important. i have a regular PCP i see (out of state), so to have someone treat me with such individualized care like my PCP would, just really allowed my anxiety to melt away.
i could tell she was listening to my concerns and her willingness to explain things to me made the experience so positive even if i was there for not very fun reasons..
i’m glad i sought treatment here— thank you to everyone working on friday, 4/18 from 12pm-3:30pm! everyone was so nice for a friday too when most people wanna be going home for the weekend!!
(i don’t have MA insurance, but paying out of pocket is so worth it for peace of mind but also when people are kind it can make spending that kind of money less stressful and sad lol, which is how i felt in the end).
i think this staff deserves a huge shout out- i was expecting a horrible experience but was met with kindness and patience, thank you AFC Malden!
