In 2024, I entered into an agreement with Chanel Quinn’s, the solo Entrepreneur of Aesthetics, Wellness & Therapy LLC, to receive one year of massage and recovery services for $1,700, paid through Afterpay in monthly installments. Unfortunately, the services were never delivered as agreed. My appointments were repeatedly canceled, rescheduled, or ignored altogether. On multiple occasions, I showed up for appointments and the provider was not present. After completing all payments by November 29, 2024, I requested a refund. On January 27, 2025, I was told it would be processed within 14 days. That refund was never issued. I followed up several times and was eventually blocked from communicating altogether. I also contacted Square and Afterpay directly and confirmed that the merchant had been fully paid and was solely responsible for issuing my refund. After months of being ignored, I was forced to file a small claims lawsuit in Tarrant County. Only after being notified that she was being served did the business send a cashier’s check for the refund amount—nearly 3 months later. While I did receive the base refund, I am still pursuing the additional costs I incurred (interest, travel, court fees), and I am sharing this to make others aware of how difficult it was to get resolution. This situation could have easily been avoided with honest communication and professionalism. I hope this review helps other consumers make informed decisions before prepaying for services.
