Expect to pay more than whatever is quoted over the phone. I responded to a Facebook ad that quoted a specific price for an exam, cleaning, and xrays if needed.
The appointment was scheduled two weeks out. The day before the appointment a representative from Access Dental called to confirm I could make it and verified the price (they will honor the $1 promotion he said). I was skeptical
When I arrived the staff immediately said that my promotion was over. The price would now be +$69 in addition to what I was already expecting to pay for the exam, cleaning, and X-rays.
At this juncture trust was destroyed and time wasted. An exam, cleaning, and xray are all pretty standard.
Is $69 to much for that work? No, but they lied to me, and it's a petty lie.
if the job would have increased such as the difference between painting a 1200 square foot house and a 4000 square foot house, a price hike is understandable. You cannot accurately quote something if facts (like sf) is unknown.
An exam, cleaning, and X-ray is all standard, no reason to increase price since the work is going to be similar from one guest to the next.
The representative pushed the blame to the call center. "The promotion has been over for a long time' she said "I dont know why they are still telling guests about it".
Classic bait and switch, used car salesman tactics at a dentist office! The establishkent can't be trusted for simple pricing information, I definitely won't trust their work.
